Alcwyn’s Gentlemen's Outfitters, Cowell Street

For many years this shop was known as ‘Alcwyn’s Gentlemen's Outfitters,’ tailor to the celebrated snooker champions Doug Mountjoy and Terry Griffiths. 

During alterations the shop fascia board was removed revealing the name of the former owner. The paintwork on the shop and fascia was brown and this building is typical of the original shops in Cowell Street before ‘renovation work’.
