House of worship for the Calvinistic Methodists – now [2002] a Community Centre – the foundation stone was laid by Catharine Meriel Stepney in 1909 (the year her father died). In later life Lady Catharine became a Roman Catholic. Glenalla reflects the name of the family estates in County Donegal, Ireland.
