Parc Howard, From Mansion to Museum, by William & Benita Rees, was published on September 9th 2004 at Parc Howard. About 130 people attended the launch, the Llanelli Star covered the event and a member of the Welsh Assembly was also present.
Carmarthenshire Museum Services, of which Parc Howard is a valuable part, have assisted in many ways, including providing information and allowing us to photograph the Museum's exhibits. Further Information
The original book was written between 1881 and 1901 at Bridge Street, Llandeilo by David Morgan. In 1909 he was a teacher at Fairfach Council School in Llandeilo.
He was born in Swansea in the 1850s and married a Mary Samuel who lived with her parents John and Catherine in 1861 and with her widowed mother in 1871.
There are
intriguing entries in the 1901, 1891 and 1881 censuses.
The fact that Aldwyth Morgan was an assistant teacher in 1901, for
instance. Was she at Ffairfach?

David Morgan
married Mary Samuel the second quarter of 1878 at Llandilofawr.
There are too many possibilities for David Morgan born in the Swansea area
to locate him.
The unusual names given to some of the children.
Have found a possible marriage for John Samuel and Catherine Paget at
Llandilofawr the third quarter of 1848 which probably explains the Paget in the
eldest son's name.
