Frank George Vivian

Frank George Vivian was born in Llanelly in December 1859; his father was William Henry Vivian, once foreman of the Llanelly Gas Works.

He was educated at the Market Street Schools, Llanelly and also had private tuition. He went as a pupil for seven years to Henry R Martin AMICE and for seven years afterwards he was with Mr A G Browning, the manager and secretary of the Llanelly Gas Works Company and upon Mr Browning retiring the directors unanimously appointed Frank George Vivian as his successor. He held the position for many years during which time the works were entirely re-modelled and the plant considerably extended.

Frank Vivian was a Member of the Urban District Council and a Consulting Gas Engineer.

His home was in Murray Street and his telephone number was 357.
