Golfers Inn

Golfer's Inn, Glandafen Road, 1991

(formerly the Bridge-end Inn)

One of only two surviving licensed houses from the 12 which were located in the New Dock/Morfa district of Llanelli in 1872.

Originally the Golfer's Inn was called the ‘Bridge-end Inn’ and later became known locally as the ‘Ramping’. One meaning of the word ramping is to swindle or to charge extortionate prices, so one can just imagine how the Bridge-end Inn got its nickname.

The present name of the inn has changed to reflect the new Golf Course, one of the Millennium Coastal Park attractions.
